System Technology "ESC" The Save Thousands of Lives

According to a recent study by the National Institute for Highway Safety Administration (NHTSA) United States (US), electronic stability control (ESC) proven to prevent deaths caused by accidents. Specially when the car lost control. In a release issued by the NHTSA yesterday (2/12), the US Government itself has standardize the use of ESC regulation since 2007 on passenger cars and commercial. Realization of field application done in stages and continues to increase every year.
Explained ESC has saved 2,200 lives since 2008 to 2010. The details are 634 in 2008, 705 in 2009 and 863 in 2010, continued to increase with better results.

ESC regulate the stability of the car automatically (controlled by the computer) when it loses control when road lincin further consequence of understeer and oversteer. The way it works, the brake pressure is set and adjusted to the needs at each wheel, so that the driver can maintain stability. The car is also still can be directed as desired driver.

"NHTSA study conducted consistently shown that the ESC is able to help the driver keep the car stable. Thus preventing the car skidded or rolled due to loss of control, "said David Strickland, NHTSA Administrator.
